Where schools have strong and effective curriculum models in place, we support leaders to continue building on that success. We value innovation and recognise that schools should have the freedom to respond to the needs of their pupils and communities.
At the same time, one of the strengths of being part of Thrive is the close professional relationships that exist between our schools. Leaders and teachers collaborate regularly, share effective practice and learn from one another. As a result, schools often choose to adopt approaches that have proven successful elsewhere in the Trust because they can see the positive impact they are having for children.
Whilst we do not seek uniformity, we do establish clear Trust-wide expectations through our curriculum and assessment policies. These set out the principles we expect to see across all schools, reflecting evidence-informed practice and our shared ambition for excellence.
We also align key aspects of assessment and data reporting across the Trust. This ensures a consistent understanding of performance, strengthens accountability and enables meaningful collaboration between schools. Importantly, it also helps reduce unnecessary workload for staff by avoiding duplication and creating efficient, shared processes.
Through this balanced approach, we combine professional autonomy with collective responsibility, ensuring that innovation can flourish whilst maintaining a clear and consistent commitment to high-quality education for every child.
